My work questions our immersion into the digital realm and how the fusion of real and virtual might affect our psyche. The drawings and paintings investigate the in-between space of both worlds converging using an abstract-mimetic hybrid approach to determine imagery and content. I am interested in the fragmentation of space and the active use of imagination or invention to elevate the work, pushing its naturalistic elements using graphic shapes or high saturation. The subject matter tackles the elusive and ever-changing nature of identity, making the idea impossible to grasp while creating hybridized spaces with multiple points of view. The paintings question technological advancements and the prevalence of social media and information overload and its integration into modern daily life.
